soccer + park

Today was Bella's last session at soccer. My Mum came with us because Matt had to go visit a minesite for work and I forgot to take my camera so I didn't get any pics! We did soccer through Get Active and I think it was definitely worth it. The first week was just chaos and I wasn't sure we'd done the right thing (most of the session was taken up with people arriving late, the coach taking forms and payment and ridiculous drills like passing the ball between their feet when the soccer ball took up all the space between their spread feet because the ball was so big in proportion to them!!). However the amount of improvement we've seen in 6 weeks (in ball skills and also focus) is just astounding. We're not sure yet whether we'll go do a different sport through Get Active or go find her a junior soccer club.

After soccer and lunch we headed to Kings Park for a friend's son's 1st birthday. After the party I grabbed a coffee and we stayed in the park for another hour where I got these quick snaps.
