Ugh, I have the flu. Not happy. Slept almost solidly from Friday evening until Saturday afternoon- got up to do a quick grocery run and make dinner then went back to bed until Sunday. I'm back at work today coz I'm a trooper but our heater is broken and the guys who are fixing it are filling the place with this plasticy-smelling smoke that my chest is NOT liking. Not only that, the cafe downstairs has new owners who decided to make the cafe upmarket so they don't do sandwiches and rolls anymore!! And I accidentally took the car keys with me today, leaving Mister and the girls stranded at home. Luckily the car was unlocked so he was able to take the car seats out and put them in the other car which he has keys to. Ugh, not my day at all. But it's a Monday. Mondays are supposed to be like that, aren't they? If it continues tomorrow, *then* I'm in trouble!
Oh, before I forget, I wanted to share this with you:
Remember Dan Paris? He was the yummy guy who played Libby's husband Drew Kirk on Neighbours and now r srs fotographer (actually, his work is AMAZING, go check it out). Well, this is my Dad being a Dan Paris impersonator. Or a Dan Paris double. Or something. Dan was hired to be in a small film about a dad who's never there for his son, especially on his birthday but he had to pull out, like, the day before so my Dad took over the role and they changed it to a film about grandpa/grandson. I saw an unfinished version and I have to admit- my Dad was brilliant. It's a very sad film, it was quite hard watching it but that's probably because I projected *my* kids onto the grandson in the film since they are his actual grandkids.
I'm a little apprehensive though- what if my Dad becomes a big actor? What if he becomes famous? The law of famous parents dictate that their children have silly names so I wonder what I would have to change mine to??!!
Why not go to this random name generator, set the obscurity to maximum and pick one out for me?
