Kid-update

Today Ashley is 10 months old. Wow. Just... wow.

She is ridiculously tall and still has no teeth but lots and lots of thick fluffy hair.

She claps, waves, flibbles her bottom lip, kisses (on command too, haha), her latest 'trick' is to stand up holding onto something then throw her hands up into the air and stand unaided for a few seconds before sitting down abruptly. She cruises round the furniture with ease so maybe she'll be walking soon? She fiiiiinally understands "NO!" but still flashes a big grin when someone says it to her. But at least she stops touching whatever it is she's being told off for. The things she gets told off for the most often is pushing furniture around the house. We have a big 12-seater dining table with 10 chairs plus a booster-seat chair and a highchair. Ashley likes to push every single one out from the table then come around to the side of each chair and push them all down to one sode of the dining area. And scratch the bejesus out of the wall =o( And that's why we can't have nice things. Haha! She also likes opening/closing cupboard doors and drawers. She is really good with the cat now, doesn't pull her tail or grab clumps of fur. But she terrorises her in other ways- screaming out "DAT!" when she sees her or tipping over her food and water bowls several times a week. Her other 'words'/sounds are DarDar, MumMum, NomNom (food), Bubba. MumMum doesn't always mean 'mum' mind you, and DarDar is used for more than just Daddy. She's sleeping throught the night really well, napping 1-2 times a day happily. Just a delight!

Onto the other child... my little big girl, Bella. Bella is at kindy 2.5 days a week now and loving it. She's so confident and thoughtful, it leaves me a little bit in awe, if I'm completely honest. She says some funny things.

A couple of days ago Matt put a hardhat and earmuffs on her. Then said "can you hear me?" and Bella called out "No, I can't hear you" haha. And a few dyas before that we were talking about how girls are "she/her, hers/" and boys are "he/him/his" Bella was rattling off a list of people and telling us what she thought they were. so she was saying "Ashley is a her?" "yes" "And daddy is a him?" "yes" "And Mummy is a her?" "yes" at which point she points at me and says "daddy, he's a she!!" Bwahahaha!!
